On Grant Financing of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2017: Experimental studies on system analysis of the geomechanical stability of the pits of quarries and slope dumps using the Phase3 finite element analysis program are performed; developed and tested the technology of safe intensive development of working zones along steep sides and the methodology for its implementation; on the basis of the concept of "career of the future", a technology for mining ores with the use of fan bores of variable cross-section was proposed and patented, and when combining the problems of extraction and waste, effective ways of softening ore with surface-active substances were found; created and protected by patents, a low-excavation transhipping point of a deep quarry and its protective device, a steeply inclined belt-conveyor conveyor of a tubular type for transporting large-scale rock mass without primary crushing. According to the agreement with JSC "JV Akbastau ", the implementation of the research" Development of technology for reducing the frequency of colmatation with PSV of uranium "was started to solve the problem of prolonging the inter-repair cycle of technological wells and reducing the frequency of their colmatation.
Only based on the results of the pre-project studies for “Angrensor Energy” LLP, the expected annual economic effect from the implementation of research results on Grant Financing of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2017 will be about 1 billion tenge.
In the long term for 2017-2020 it is planned: within the framework of the Program-Targeted Financing of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2018-2020 the first stage of preparing an application for solving the problems of modernization of technological processes at mining enterprises was completed.In the priority areas of the Grant Financing of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the same period, the PTC of the department "Mining" with the involvement of doctoral candidates PhD and undergraduates prepare to submit 8 applications. To the address of LLP "Eurasian Group", KAZ Minerals Group, «EuroChem Fertilizer» LLP, proposals for joint are sent and prepared for «Eurasian Energy Company» JSC, «RazrezMolodezhny» LLP.
Scientists of the departmentin recent years published 5 monographs, 10 acts of intruding, 15 textbooks and teaching. Manuals, more than 100 scientific articles and abstracts at international and republican conferences, received 8 innovative patents and 10 articles with high impact factor.Students are actively involved in the departments to carry out scientific research. Students, undergraduates, doctoral students participated in the financed topics in different periods. The results of the research are reported annually at university and republican student scientific and technical conferences and are awarded with awards.On the republican subject olympiad in the specialty: "Mining", (Karaganda) and EKSTU (Ust-Kamenogorsk), students won prizes. And also undergraduates in the field of mining mastered the prize in the international championship by solving the cases "Mining", which was held in Moscow (Russia).
